Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnerships

Date:
2 Aug 2016
Description:

Following the Government’s Local Growth White Paper in 2010, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) were created. As strategic partnerships between businesses and councils, they play a pivotal role in determining local economic priorities and undertaking activities to generate growth and employment.

Our vision is to transform the reputation and positioning of the Heart of the South West in the national and global mindset so that we are no longer seen as a peripheral area.

Our ambition is to maximise our area’s assets and inspire innovation and entrepreneurship to create long-term economic growth. We want to see our urban centres fulfil their capacity for growth whilst ensuring that our rural areas flourish through enterprise and improved competitiveness.
