KPMG has promoted a new managing director in Plymouth who will act as a "right-hand man" to senior partner Ian Brokenshire.

Andy Gordon, who has been with the firm for 20 years, will lead the office's audit team alongside his responsibility as lead for KPMG's Small Business Accounting offering across the South West.

Gordon works with clients across a wide range of sectors in Plymouth and the surrounding area, including manufacturing, yachting, aerospace, construction, food, retail and the charity.

Ian Brokenshire, senior partner for KPMG in Plymouth, said: "Thanks to ongoing growth in the region, KPMG recently committed to a further five years in Plymouth. Andy will be able to support me in a leadership role as we continue to take on new clients.

"He has shown real dedication since joining the firm on a graduate placement and is a really talented advisor to boot. I'm looking forward to having him as my 'right-hand man'."

Gordon added: "I came to Plymouth 23 years ago from Wales to study at Plymouth University, and never left; it's a fantastic place to live and work. I hope I've got many years ahead at KPMG."
