Vacancy Description

The vacancy is for up to three new members of the Board of the IfA. Board members bring together strategic input from business, employer representatives, academics and other senior representatives with expertise in particular aspects of apprenticeships and broader aspects of the skills landscape. All members contribute corporately to the IfA’s successful pursuit of its mission to ensure that apprenticeships are high quality. The Board’s focus is now on:

  • streamlining the process for the development of apprenticeships standards and improving outcomes for employers
  • developing a quality strategy with partner organisations, which builds on the recently published quality statement on what a high quality apprenticeship looks like
  • building its capacity to deliver its extended remit on technical education.
