Horseback archery leads entertainment at Summer Open Day

(CAMBORNE, CORNWALL: 16/06/17): A Summer Fun Day in Cornwall is promising an exhilarating schedule of events and activities including horseback archery.

Duchy College Rosewarne’s annual open day returns on Sunday 25th June for an action-packed day of fun. The land-based college invites visitors to the free event where they can meet the animals, enjoy a tractor ride, take part in the digger challenge, go on a butterfly walk, enter their pooch in the fun dog show and enjoy tasty treats.

“It’s a great day for the whole family,” said Carol Knight, Head of Campus for Duchy College Rosewarne.

“There are activities put on by every department, this year we have horseback archery displays going on throughout the day which will certainly draw a crowd. This event is a wonderful opportunity for people to come and have a look around and see the range of expertise, talents and courses we have on offer at the College to people of all ages whilst enjoying a fun day out.”

Those attending the event will also be able to peruse the craft fair, watch a horse and carriage display, visit the Rosewarne Nursery and try pond dipping.

Duchy College offers both full- and part-time courses across its sites at Rosewarne and Stoke Climsland, including university courses, in agriculture, animal management, countryside and conservation, education, equine studies, construction plant, horticulture, land-based engineering, floristry and vet nursing.
