Enterprise Adviser Network

Date:
20 Mar 2017
Details:

You will be aware from the recent announcement Ben made that DCBC will be focusing more on this priority area during 2017 and that we shall be launching a campaign to help retain and attract talent to the South West.

Alongside this campaign, we have many opportunities to influence the careers of young people and DCBC is proud to be a key supporter of the national Enterprise Adviser Network (EAN) which is delivered in our region by CSW Group. Already, a dozen of our members have chosen to support this scheme, and now we would like to encourage a few more.

In short, the scheme requires up to 8 hours per month of your time (this can include telephone and email contact) for a 12-month period to help the senior team within the school. By becoming involved in the programme, you will be helping to provide young people with better information and advice upon the range of options and careers available to them, you will be supporting the schools’ senior team with their strategic planning and helping them to understand better the requirements of and opportunities available within local businesses. You will be invited to local and national events to network with peers from a range of industries.

DCBC can also offer an invitation to your school Head Teacher to our quarterly conferences (as your guest) during this programme to help to include them in business networking activities that they may otherwise struggle to experience.

Please could you consider the list of schools below and let me know (karen.woodward@dcbc.co.uk)  if you are happy to be involved so that I may link you with Charlotte (Charlie) at CSW Group who will provide support and training throughout and set everything up to find a suitable school match for you; thank you.

If you would like to talk to any of the advisers (employers) already involved we can arrange that for you.
