- Students attend a Professional Beauty Show in London
- Visit reveals range of opportunities in the Beauty industry for region’s students
Beauty students from Cornwall College St Austell have returned from London after attending the leading beauty and trade show in Europe.
With over 800 leading brands, the Professional Beauty Show at the ExCel arena brings all the latest products and innovations for beauty, nails, spa therapy and complementary therapy under one roof. Students were able to watch demonstrations, learn what the latest trends are across the sector and buy retail goods at discounted prices.
Lorraine Wright, Lecturer for Beauty at St Austell Campus, said the event “was a successful trip for everyone. We take our beauty students to the show every year.”
“It is a really good opportunity for them to gain a wider knowledge of the products, equipment and new techniques being used in the industry” she continued.
Former Brannel student, Charlotte Potts, who is now studying Level 2 Beauty Therapy, found “London a real eye-opening experience. I’m glad I grabbed the opportunity whilst I could. I am more aware now of all the services and treatments that are available and how big the market place really is.”
She added “It was also a great opportunity to speak to potential employers once I’ve qualified in the summer”
