Details: 

As a company, our role is to provide reliable, efficient and high-quality drinking water and waste water services throughout Cornwall and Devon and in small areas of Dorset and Somerset.

However, we face a number of challenges. Some of our customers are struggling with below average incomes and higher than average house prices. In addition, our region is forecast to have significant population growth. We also know that the climate is changing, with ‘extreme weather events’ increasingly likely. While responding to these challenges, and many others, we must continue to provide resilient services that our customers can rely on.

The purpose of the stakeholder workshops will be to seek feedback on a number of proposals which will inform our business plan for 2020-2025.  

They will include an introduction to the Company and presentations from senior South West Water managers followed by roundtable discussions on topics including our:

  • Proposals and choices for 2020-2025
  • Water Resources Management Plan

After lunch, there will be a number of dedicated surgeries on: customer service; resilience; affordability; vulnerability; and developer services.

Attendees will include: elected members and council officers; community groups; charities and NGOs; social housing providers; business representatives; tourism representatives; housing developers; water retailers; and environmental and conservation groups.
