Wired West - Taking a look at all things digital

25 April 2018
17:30pm - 20:00pm
Santander Commercial, Milford House, Pynes Hill, Exeter, Devon

With our thanks to Santander for providing the venue for our second event in this series, this session is designed to be discursive and interactive, with Katharine Bourke from South West Growth Service chairing the event which includes two very different presentations from the award-winning Cosmic team.

Julie Hawker will be looking at digital leadership, specifically the key challenges for South West businesses, helping to develop the right leadership skills and decision-making in this digital world. This follows on from the desire expressed by attendees at the October event to look at how we lead our businesses as digital continues to change the ways we work.

Kate Doodson will then consider emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, exploring the trends to look out for and what we as businesses should be looking to invest in over the coming years. Again, this picks up on the request to look more at chat bots and other forms of AI that are emerging and becoming not only viable but necessary for the long term sustainability of many businesses.

We will also do some horizon scanning with time scheduled to make sure that Wired West events continue to provide a space for the sharing of information and discussion for all those who recognise the power of harnessing and deploying technology well in business.
