Time:
10:00 - 15:00
Venue:
Great Hall Devonshire House, Stocker Road Exeter EX4 4PY
Summary:

The Big Bang Fair and the @events are part of the Big Bang Near Me Programme of events, funded by EngineeringUK, which take place across the UK to enable young people to discover the exciting and rewarding science and engineering careers that their science and maths subjects can lead to.

Details:

The  2018 events will host a range of exciting activities including; a show stage featuring engaging live science shows, a range of hands on exhibits and activities from businesses across the region, and  the opportunity to find out more about careers and opportunities in STEM related businesses. The event is open to primary and secondary schools and home-schooled children. Alongside this competitions will take place including the South West Young Scientist and Young Engineer of the Year and, for 2018, our first Primary Competition. The Lunch Box Challenge.

All of this is designed to engage and inspire students,  ignite their interest in STEM,  and allow them to discover what exciting and rewarding science and engineering careers that their science and maths subjects can lead to.

It is through the support and sponsorship of local businesses that the Big Bang is able to take place and grow each year and through it we are able to continue to feed the minds of the next generation and encourage them in the exciting world of science and how it is used both in industry and everyday lives.

Of course, the benefits to you are immense, not least a captive audience of students eager to immerse themselves in a future of STEM related careers and qualifications.

The Big Bang at Exeter is aimed at schools and exhibitors who feel that Bristol is a tad too far for their catchment area or budget (or who simply want to attend more than 1 Big  Bang).
